Governor Rick Perry has proclaimed January as School Board Recognition Month, and Midlothian ISD is joining other districts across the state to gratefully acknowledge the work and commitment of local trustees to our communities and schools. More

Attention Kindergarten Parents: Gifted and Talented Screening

The elementary counselors will be presenting a program regarding the nomination and screening process for the Midlothian Independent School District's Gifted and Talented Program on Tuesday, January 13, at 6:30 p. m. at the L. A. Mills Administration Building, 100 Walter Stephenson Road.

The Kindergarten nomination window will run from Jan. 12 through Jan. 23, 2009. Students identified as gifted and talented will be served by March 2, 2009. All other elementary and secondary GT screenings will be conducted in April, with testing being conducted in May. Parents of kindergarten students may request a nomination packet by contacting your childís teacher. If you have any questions regarding the nomination or screening process, please contact your child's counselor.

On January 29-31 at 7pm and February 1 at 2pm, MHS students will show their talent through a classic musical play titled Guys and Dolls. All performances will be at the MHS auditorium.
