Celebrate Homecoming Week 2010

Show your Panther Pride during the Homecoming 2010 festivities. The Homecoming Parade will be September 10 at 3:15pm. The MHS Varsity Football Panthers play the Northwest Texans at 7:30pm at the MISD Stadium. There will be a two-hour early release at all campuses. All MISD and community clubs, organizations and teams that involve students are welcome to participate in the parade.

The MHS Varsity Football team will play the Northwest Texans, Friday, September 10th at 7:30pm at the MISD Stadium. Membership gives you and your immediate family (not to exceed 7) access to the Pre-Game Tailgate before every home varsity football game! Fall is full of competitive sports. Panther fans - come support the MHS students who are involved in cross country, football, golf, tennis, and volleyball. Continuing a great tradition on a strong foundation is the Athletic Department's motto.

Athletic Director Steve Keasler said, "For a coach, this is one of the most exciting times of the year. All sports start with a fresh slate and an exciting challenge of building a team that wins with class and character."

 
 

Parent Meeting Regarding Random Drug Testing for Students in Extracurricular Activities

Monday, September 13, 2009 at the Midlothian High School Auditorium, 6:00 pm
Parents are encouraged to learn about the MISD random drug testing procedures for all students in grades 9-12 who participate in competitive extracurricular activities.  The drug testing will be administered throughout the year on randomly selected students who participate in the District's competitive extracurricular activities. Please view the FNF (Local) policy for more information about the program.

 
 

Midlothian is now a 5A School District
Posted: 2/1/10

This morning the University Interscholastic League announced its district alignments for the 2010-2011 and 2011-2012 school years. UIL governs most secondary extracurricular activities in Texas and assign classifications to schools based on the high school enrollment. During the October snapshot date, Midlothian High School had 2,215 students. The cut-off to be considered a 5A school district is 2,065+ students. Therefore, MISD is now a 5A school district. It is our goal as an Athletic Department to improve communication among all stakeholders, thus we created the "Together We Can!" Newsletter.
